Delhi, India – May 7, 2024 – Dr. Abhijeet Prasad Sinha, the son of Late Tripurari Prasad, has emerged as a pioneering figure in the field of Population Health Informatics, with his recent accomplishment of completing his PhD in Population Health Informatics from DIT University, Dehradun. Dr. Abhijeet P Sinha’s doctoral research focused on the development and utility of m-health and nutrition informatics interventions for self-care management of type 2 diabetes at home. His groundbreaking work has garnered widespread acclaim, resulting in the publication of one patent with the Government of India and over six research papers in globally reputed journals.
With more than 22 years of professional experience spanning India, South Africa, and the UK, Dr. Abhijeet P. Sinha has established himself as a leader in the field. He has held key positions at esteemed organizations such as Hindustan Unilever Ltd, NHS UK, HIVSA, VSO UK, CARE, and KPMG, and Dr Sinha currently serves as the Lead -of the State India Country Program at PATH, a USA-based organization.
Dr. Sinha’s academic journey includes a PGDM-RM (MBA) from XISS, a Masters in Public Health and Management (PGDPHM) from the University of Brighton, UK, and management training from prestigious institutions such as the University of Oxford, Cambridge University UK, IIM Ahmedabad, and IIM Bangalore.
His research prowess is further evidenced by his extensive publication record, comprising over 30 research publications, including a book, and his global outreach, having traveled to more than 46 countries and presented papers in several international conferences.
A testament to his innovative spirit, Dr. Abhijeet P. Sinha developed the Swayam Diabetes mobile application for an integrated diabetes management system, resulting in a published patent. Dr. Abhijeet P Sinha has developed two important frameworks: The self-care management m-health app CDIU framework and the QIMA framework for utility, testing, and evaluation models for m-health evaluation. Dr. Abhijeet P Sinha has done PhD under the supervision of esteemed professor Dr. Manmohan Singhal, Supervisor, Associate Professor, SoPHI DIT University Dehradun co-Supervisor Dr. Ashish Joshi, PhD, MBBS, MPH Co-Supervisor, Dean and Distinguished professor, University of Memphis, USA.
