Victor Lofinmakin was honored with the prestigious US Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for “lifelong commitment towards building a stronger community through community service”
The Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA), is awarded by AmeriCorps in association with the White House. This honor is bestowed to those who serve their community selflessly. His nomination was selected by Innovate Africa Corp.
The well attended event held at the Four Seasons Washington DC with many captains of world industry and thought leaders present, on September 14, 2024
In a letter, US President Joe Biden wrote “on behalf of the American people, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to you for your volunteer leadership and I encourage you to continue to answer the call to serve. The country is counting on you.’
Also, Victor’s letter of nomination signed by President Joe Biden noted that “it is with warmest congratulations and heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) for the honor that has been bestowed upon you. Your outstanding contributions and achievements have not only earned you this well deserved recognition but also have left an indelible mark in the community…’
“We acknowledge your dedication, hard work and exceptional talent that have made a significant difference in the lives of countless individuals…”
A day before the award, Victor Lofinmakin had featured in the panel discussion on Innovate Africa conference held at George Washington University where he spoke eloquently on how Africa must make progress in leadership, business, technology, real estate and finance.
Speaking after the event, highly elated honoree said “It feels great to have been honored with a lifetime achievement award for my volunteer service and contributions to the community”
Victor served in the US Navy for over 20 years and works tirelessly with many individuals, organizations and communities.
