San Francisco, CA – May 20, 2025: Today marks the official launch of Coworker.ai, the world’s first general-purpose AI agent built to think, act, and collaborate like a trusted teammate. It can generate answers, develop plans, and complete cross-functional tasks across 25+ enterprise platforms (including Jira, Slack, GitHub, and Salesforce), while always staying aligned with your team.
At the core is Organizational Memory (OM1), a proprietary memory architecture that functions like a company’s brain, storing and updating 120+ business parameters to deliver the critical context other AI tools miss.
The launch follows a $13M seed round, led by Jeff Huber (former SVP of Google Ads, Maps, and Workspace, now at Triatomic Capital). Additional investors include Ramtin Naimi (Abstract Ventures), Mallun Yen (Operator Collective), Tim Young (Eniac Ventures), and Clark Golestani, Ken Hausman, and Jack Greenfield (K2 Access Fund). These new backers join pre-seed investors Soma Capital, Focal VC, Mischief, and Karman Ventures, bringing the total raised to $16.5M.
Today’s AI can’t do the work without internal context
Despite massive investment in AI tooling, productivity gains inside organizations have been limited. General-purpose LLMs are trained on public data, making them incapable of handling internal work. Task-based agents can automate small jobs, but can’t collaborate across teams. That leaves workflows fragmented, requiring hours of human prompting, re-explaining, and correction.
Coworker was built to act with full organizational awareness, navigating departments, systems, and changing priorities.
“While there’s been a lot of progress in foundational model development and growing consumer AI applications, the open secret is that AI hasn’t had any real productivity impact inside companies yet,” said Alex Calder, Coworker.ai’s co-founder and CEO. “That’s because so far AI has had very limited context on your company and work, which means it’s often unreliable and inaccurate, and ultimately difficult to trust with tasks.”
Coworker is already demonstrating impact in key functional areas:
Sales – analyzes sales calls, drafts follow-up emails, and helps accelerate deal cycles
Engineering & Product – writes and reviews code, automates PRs and release notes
Customer Success – tracks sentiment and risks, flags customer health issues
Leadership – generates real-time visibility into blockers, updates, and company-wide patterns
“We were blown away by Coworker’s architecture,” said Jeff Huber, Managing Director at Triatomic Capital. “The deep organizational context means it’s able to go far beyond surface-level answers to make it much more of an active teammate than an assistant. OM1 lays the groundwork for a whole new category of enterprise software.”
“We saw one customer ask Coworker to help bring an engineering sprint back on track,” said Bradford Church, co-founder and Chief Product Officer. “Coworker scanned Jira, Slack, and GitHub, noticed a lagging feature build, created a new ticket, and drafted the code. That’s a huge shift from what AI assistants can do.”
Coworker is designed with security, permissions, and source accuracy at its core. It meets SOC 2, GDPR, and CASA Tier 2 requirements.
The product entered private release in December 2024 and is now used by over 25 companies in engineering, product, sales, and operations. “Coworker has helped me tremendously by allowing me to spend less time manually tracking and searching for information that is important to me,” said Noah Tutak, CPO at Curri. “I’m constantly surprised by the insights I get from asking it questions. It is an important part of my daily workflow.”
