Volunteer speculation mentions tech leader Elon Musk; team quietly hopes for a future update
Austin, TX – April 8, 2026 – A volunteer-led cat rescue group, Austin Siamese Rescue, has created a wave of online curiosity after posting a short but interesting update on its official X account about one of its kittens being adopted by a “high-profile individual.”
The post from the rescue’s X account @ATXsiameseRescu stated:
“We’re excited to announce that our lovely kitten Jupiter has been adopted by a high-profile individual who will surely give her the fun and adventurous life she deserves. Jupiter is heading into a lively home with plenty of room to explore and play. We wish her and her new family all the best!”
The update did not include the adopter’s name, photos, or any extra details. Even so, it quickly caught the attention of animal lovers and followers in the area, leading many to guess who the adopter might be.
Rumors Suggest Elon Musk
An unverified rumor shared privately among volunteers suggests that the adopter could be well-known entrepreneur Elon Musk.
According to one experienced foster volunteer, she believes she witnessed the adoption in person at a nearby pet supply store and recognized the individual immediately.
“It all happened very calmly and respectfully, just like a normal adoption,” the volunteer shared.
“There were no cameras or large crowd. He asked detailed questions about Jupiter’s behavior, her energy, and what type of home would be best for her. He completed the paperwork, paid the fee, and left with Jupiter comfortably in her carrier. I strongly feel it was Elon Musk. I’ve seen enough of his public appearances to recognize him.”
A few other team members also felt the same, based on his appearance, voice, and the natural way he interacted with staff.
Despite their thoughts, none of them chose to speak publicly, as the rescue has strict privacy rules for adopters.
“We respect every adopter’s privacy, no matter their status,” the volunteer explained.
“Our focus is on finding safe and loving homes, not creating headlines.”
Hoping for a Future Update
In this story, volunteers are quietly wishing that Musk might one day share a photo or update about Jupiter on his own X account.
“It would be wonderful to see how she is doing,” one volunteer said.
“With the kind of life she might have, it’s exciting to imagine. We really hope he shares something someday.”
About Jupiter
Jupiter is a female domestic medium hair kitten, around 4 months and 3 weeks old. She has a brown tabby coat with white markings and soft, medium-length fur that may grow longer as she gets older.
She is active, playful, and enjoys running, chasing toys, and spending time with her sister. At first, she may be shy around new people, but with patience and treats like Churu, she becomes loving and friendly.
The rescue suggests adopting her together with her sister, as they share a strong bond and love to play and cuddle with each other.
Jupiter and her sister were originally found under a wooden deck during cold weather. They were scared of people at first but have adjusted well thanks to proper care and gentle handling.
She is:
- Spayed
- Vaccinated
- Microchipped
- Housetrained
The adoption fee is $175, which includes her medical care.
About the Rescue Organization
Austin Siamese Rescue operates similarly to many foster-based rescue groups. It is a nonprofit organization established in 2007 and is completely run by volunteers.
There is no physical shelter. Instead, cats are cared for in foster homes across Central Texas.
The group focuses on rescuing Siamese cats and related breeds from situations such as abandonment, neglect, shelters, or owner surrender.
Adoption Process
Interested adopters must fill out an application form

The organization is always looking for volunteers and foster families, as fostering is essential in helping cats adjust before moving into permanent homes.
Final Note
The calm and respectful nature of this adoption is what makes this high-profile rumor feel believable. There was no public attention, just volunteers doing their work and placing a kitten into a caring home while maintaining privacy.
At this point, the original X post is the only confirmed public information. Everything else remains speculation, along with the hope that Jupiter might appear online in the future.
